CIAPRI creates and maintains databases and online repositories. Special focus is put on creating databases on resource and industrial development in Central Asian states. These databases include data extrapolated from Soviet and post-Soviet archives, including republican, provincial, and various local archives (party, ministerial, institutional, and enterprise records), as well as statistical committees (GosKomStats), geological surveys, and research institutions’ materials. CIAPRI constantly works on supplementation and verification of the data, also with companies when possible. CIAPRI collaborates with specialists in natural and technical sciences from Europe, Central & Inner Asia, as well as South Caucasus. The databases provide information for researchers, investment and business sectors, policy-makers, as well as the general public.
